The Valley Resource Center is a registered 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization that supports integral programs for our community, deployed military, and veterans. Every month our volunteers gather and assemble care packages for local troops deployed overseas in Iraq, Kuwait, and the National Guard out of March Air Reserve Base and all over the world. Caring for our military is important to us so we send nutritious bars, snacks, vitamins/ supplements, drinks, toiletries, and the list goes on. We send care packages to each member/unit every month for the duration of their deployment until they return home.

Did you know that in active-duty military suicides reached a record high in 2018? A total of 321 active-duty members took their lives, which included 68 sailors, 57 Marines, 58 airmen and 138 soldiers. Our goal is to save lives, raise awareness and show support. We include numerous letters and cards from the community and youth groups and let them know that they are not forgotten while away and the community will be there for them when they return. Support from community partners such as yours is vital to our mission.

We hope you will be able to help us accomplish our goal to support our deployed troops overseas.  We take special requests to ensure that we are meeting their needs and provide wish list items such as snacks or protein bars. We are supporting many women and the vast majority of them are requesting basic feminine products that are difficult to obtain in many places overseas. We are also supporting tent cities that do not have hot water or running toilets since the removal of ISIS. They are requesting duct tape, tin foil, and items that are not usually donated to us. Your monetary support will help ship the care packages as well as fulfill specific requests from our troops all around the world.

Will you help by making a donation of $500 or more? Your generosity will be shared on social media, at local events, and our website. We also include a letter in each military care package with the names of the organizations that contributed. All of the members of the Valley Resource Center are volunteers so 100% of donations go to those we support. We spent over $5,000 in shipping last year and sent over $18,000 worth of items in the care packages last year alone!
