Team Expectations and Volunteer Agreement with MilVet 2024 – 2025
*
MilVet is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting deployed military members, veterans and their families.
As part of the MilVet team, I agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Professionalism: I will conduct myself in a professional manner at all times, upholding the values and mission of the organization. I will speak positive of the organization. If an issue arises, I will contact my supervisor or the CEO to discuss my concerns.
2. Confidentiality: I understand and agree to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information that I may have access to. This includes all material contained in the private Facebook group, event planning, those we serve and donor information. Protecting the privacy of our clients, donors, volunteers and partners is a policy we take very seriously. Volunteers may be exposed to confidential information in group settings or while working with clients and donors. All conversations and information in private Facebook group/meetings are to remain confidential including names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, and other information. By signing this application, you agree to refrain from disclosing or discussing any confidential information and to return any materials containing private information at the time of separation including name tags, organization email address and business cards. All MilVet photos and material belong to MilVet.
3. Commitment: I am committed to fulfilling my duties and responsibilities in the office and during events to the best of my abilities. I agree to at least eight hours of service per month. Many more hours are available in office and during events, if desired.
4. Collaboration: I will work collaboratively with other team members, elected official staff, and donors to ensure the success of all programs and events.
5. Representing the Organization: I will be an ambassador for the organization, representing it positively in all professional interactions and public-facing events. When representing MilVet at events or the office, it is important to represent as a MilVet volunteer. In general, MilVet does not seek to interfere with off-duty activities of volunteers. However, the nonprofit cannot tolerate off-duty conduct that negatively impacts the Non-Profit. This would include a volunteer’s individual work performance at our events or the business interests of the Non-Profit, including its reputation.
6. Learning and Development: I will actively seek opportunities for learning and professional development and I am open to feedback and guidance from supervisors and colleagues.
7. Conflict of Interest: I will disclose any situation which involves or may involve a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest between personal interests and that of MilVet.
8. Compliance: I will adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies throughout my term as a Leadership Volunteer. We love to share the great things our volunteers do at public events and by signing this form, you agree to the sharing of photos taken at events.
By accepting the position, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the terms and conditions outlined above and agree to abide by them for the duration of my MilVet position. (Please sign below to agree to the team expectations).
